Your support makes all the difference.Juventus have confirmed that striker Alvaro Morata has left the Italian club to make his return to Real Madrid after the Champions League winners activated the player’s buy-back clause.
Reports suggest that Madrid will be now looking to sell Morata on in an effort to generate a handsome profit on the £23.6m they paid to Juventus.
This will surely open the door to Arsenal who have recently been linked with the Spanish forward but it remains unclear whether the Gunners would be prepared to meet Madrid’s £57m asking price for the player.
The north London side have also been linked to Wolfsburg’s Ricardo Rodriguez in recent days. The left-back has returned from Euro 2016 with Switzerland and played every minute of their campaign. Sky suggests that Arsenal aren’t the only side interested in the player though. Barcelona are also keen to sign the left-back whose value is estimated to be around the £21m mark.
It’s not all about the players though. According to the Telegraph, the Football Association are seeking talks with Arsene Wenger to establish whether he is interested in managing England. The Frenchman has been heavily linked with the England job since Roy Hodgson’s resignation but it seems the FA may now be ready to make an official approach for the 66-year-old.
Having fallen out of favour last season, Borussia Dortmund’s Neven Subotic has been linked with a move away from the club and it seems rumours have suggested that Arsenal could sweep to sign the Serbian.
Subotic has made over 250 appearances for the German club since joining in 2008 but only managed 11 in all competitions for Dortmund last year.
Newcastle midfielder and Frenchman Moussa Sissoko has revealed his desire to join Arsene Wenger’s side, according to Spanish newspaper Marca. The midfielder reportedly “loves the idea” of signing for Arsenal this summer after Newcastle were relegated to the Championship but Wenger has no made indication of signing the player.
Arsenal continue to be linked with Lyon ace Alexandre Lacazette after the Sun reported that Wenger had “held talks” with the striker.
The Gunners are looking to bolster their striking options after failing to sign Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and may fancy their chances with Lacazette who has already rejected an offer from West Ham.
But it seems the side are keeping their options open when it comes to strikers and have also been linked to Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.
The Toffees have reportedly slapped the striker with a £65m price-tag but it’s thought they would be willing to let him leave for around £40m.
