At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Germany international revealed that he told Wolfsburg he wants to leave the club following his exertions at this summer’s European Championship.
“Two days after the semi-final at the Euro I explained my point of view and expressed my wish that I want to leave the club,” he told Bild.
“Now I'm back in Germany and things are being communicated via the media rather than with me in person. Now I also wanted to make myself heard."
Meanwhile, the search for a new centre-back continues at the Emirates. Could a move for Scott Dann be on the cards?
The Crystal Palace centre-back is apparently in the frame to provide emergency cover at the back, according to the Daily Mail.
Dann’s not the only one, with Swansea City’s Federico Fernandez also considered.
Shkodran Mustafi’s name will not go away, either.
According to Goal, Arsenal are ready to submit a £20m bid for the Valencia defender, who is currently in England ahead of pre-season friendlies against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.
Elsewhere, despite a desperate need to strengthen in attack and defence, La Gazzetta dello Sport believe Blaise Matuidi will soon be snapped up to bolster the Gunners’ midfield.
The Paris Saint-Germain player is thought to be Jose Mourinho’s back-up plan should Paul Pogba’s long-awaited transfer to Manchester United falls through.
Matuidi is also Juventus’ replacement in case Pogba does leave, report Gazzetta, and will do battle with Arsenal in a bidding war for the 29-year-old.
