Arsenal target Granit Xhaka will be available to leave Borussia Monchengladbach in this transfer window, should the German club receive the right bid.
The Swiss midfielder has attracted interest from a host of clubs, with Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly among the admirers - but he still has three and a half years left to run on his contract in Monchengladbach.
That does not mean he does not have a price, however, with Eberl saying the Foals would be unable to turn down a substantial bid for the 23-year-old.
"It depends a bit on our own sporting success, it depends on Granit's own performances and of course it depends on the figures," Eberl told WDR 2 radio.
"If they reach a certain dimension, then you could get dizzy. There are always situations in which every club would have to make considerations."
Eberl says Gladbach do not have to sell, however, and he hopes such a bid does not arrive.
"It is all in our own hands," he said. "As things stand, we are happy to have him with us and hopefully he will stay with us for a long time."
Manchester United have rivalled Arsenal for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to reports.
Previous reports claimed that Rabiot’s mother, who also works as his agent, had held talks with Arsenal, but fresh reports from this morning state that United have entered the race for the wantaway French midfielder, who has a £15m price tag.
Out-of-favour Mathieu Debuchy says he "cannot stay at Arsenal" and needs to leave this month, even if it is on loan.
The 30-year-old swapped Newcastle for the Emirates Stadium 18 months ago in a reported £12million deal, but has fallen down the pecking order following Hector Bellerin's emergence.
Debuchy has made just seven appearances for the Gunners this season and wants to leave in January, with struggling Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen amongst the interested parties.
Asked about the interest from Remi Garde's side, the France right-back told L'Equipe: "It's true, they are among the teams interested in me.
"I am currently studying everything but it's not a possibility I have excluded.
"Whatever happens, even if it is to return this summer and then start again, I have to go this winter. I cannot stay at Arsenal."
