Arsenal are planning a sensational club-record £45m bid for long-term target Edinson Cavani. The Sunday Express have reported today that the Gunners could smash their transfer record for PSG's Uruguayan striker.
The 27-year-old has scored 13 goals for the French champions this season.
The record currently stands at £42m for Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid in September 2013.
Luka who's back...
The Gunners are on alert after reports have surfaced from Spain claiming the wife of Real Madrid playmaker, Luka Modric, is unhappy in the country and would like a return to England.
Modric, of course, played for Arsenal's north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur between 2008 and 2012.

Francis Coquelin is set to be offered a new contract with the club, after impressing since returning from his loan spell at Charlton, according to the Mirror.
The 23-year-old, whose current contract runs out at the end of the season, had been linked with a move to his native France.
