Your support makes all the difference.Speculation around the future of John Stones is set to increase again as the January transfer window nears. Whilst Chelsea are expected to return with renewed interest in the Everton centre-back, Arsenal are staying clear of the situation. Despite an apparent need for reinforcements amid an injury crisis at the Emirates, Arsene Wenger has ruled out a move. "We are not after John Stones, we are focused on tomorrow's game," he said today.
Someone the Gunners might move for though is William Carvalho. The Sporting Lisbon player has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and with Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez out along with numerous other midfielders, a switch to Arsenal has been mooted today. The 23-year-old Portugal international reportedly has a £35m buy-out clause.
Arsenal are also apparently keeping tabs on Charlton youngster Ademola Lookman. The 18-year-old hasn't been with the Addicks long, only joining from Waterloo FC last year, yet he's been quick to make an impression at the Championship club and made hist first appearance for the senior team last month. The 18-year-old forward is yet to score for Charlton.
Manchester United could be busy signing players for the future in January according to reports today, with the club eyeing up a couple of exciting youngsters. Fulham's Moussa Dembele is one of them. The 19-year-old Frenchman has begun to show his potential this season with a number of goals for the Championship side. It's said that West Ham's 16-year-old midfielder Reece Oxford is also on the radar after his impressive performances early in the season.
Another linked with Manchester United is Southampton forward Sadio Mane. The 23-year-old from Senegal impressed in his first season at St Mary's after joining from Salzburg for £11.8m. He's continued that form with seven goals in 19 appearances this season. But Manchester United aren't the only club to have been paying attention. According to reports Bayern Munich are also interested. Things could get complicated.
Liverpool are beginning to be linked with a host of the best players at Jurgen Klopp's former club Borussia Dortmund. So cue reports that he wants to sign the cream of the crop, Marco Reus. Spanish website Fichajes says Liverpool will move for the Germany international. Meanwhile Bild report that Neven Subotic will make a switch to Anfield.
