Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has informed his suitors, including Chelsea, that he has no desire to leave the Vicente Calderon.

The 24-year-old has been subject to intense speculation linking him with a switch to Stamford Bridge in recent months but, in an interview with French publication Telefoot, he denied the claims.

“I am feeling very well at Atletico,” the France international said.

“This is a big club and I want to achieve great things here. I am ambitious and my goal is to win trophies here.

“I have become more mature. The club and my team-mates rely on me.

“I have become a more complete player and have to continue on the same path. I am not at my best just yet.

“I work every day to improve and reach my top. I am still far away from the best players.”

Griezmann reportedly has a buy-out clause of £75m after Atletico went to great lengths to have it increased from £60m.

The forward’s contract with the Madrid-based outfit runs out in 2020 meaning Diego Simeone's men have no need to sell despite interest from across Europe.
