Angel Di Maria's exit from Manchester United has been delayed due to the winger being 'too tired' to undergo a medical with PSG, it's claimed.

A fee of £44m is understood to have been agreed for the transfer of the Argentina international who only arrived at Old Trafford as the £59.7m British transfer record buy just last summer.

The completion of his departure from Manchester United was expected yesterday, however his 20-hour trip from Argentina to Qatar for his medical left the 27-year-old exhausted and in need of rest.

It's reported that Di Maria went straight from the airport to his hotel after arriving on Sunday evening, rather than directly for his medical.

Some tests were undertaken yesterday with tests set to continue today.

It's understood that once Di Maria's medical has been completed he will fly to Paris to sign a four-year contract.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has lined up Barcelona winger Pedro as his replacement.
