Arsenal and Stoke are being linked with a deadline day swoop for Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Ukraine international has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and reports suggest the Gunners could complete a £23m deal by the close of the transfer window, which will shut at 11pm tonight.

Other reports claim that Stoke could gazump the deal and with it add another highly skilful addition to their already impressive forward line-up.

The link with Arsenal stems from the injuries that have hampered Arsene Wenger's side this season. Danny Welbeck's return date remains unclear and the recent absence of Alexis Sanchez highlighted the club's inability to adequately replace the Chilean.

Yarmolenko, who tends to play on the right but can also operate on the left, has scored eight goals and collected five assists in 15 league games with Dynamo Kiev this season, suggesting he could make an impact at any side he joined.

January transfer window: 5 last minute deals

However, the chances of him leaving his current club appear slim with the 26-year-old under contract until 2020. That strong position is reinforced by Kiev's upcoming Champions League last-16 meeting with Manchester City, a tie that Ukrainian club will be eager to be at full strength for.
