Arsenal chiefs have flown out to Spain as they look to close in on a deal for Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata, according to reports.

The Gunners attempted to sign the 21-year-old on loan last season, but Real eventually refused the deal.

According to the Daily Mail, the Champions League winners are prepared to listen to offers for Spain Under-21 international, but they want a buy-back clause inserted in any deal.

Morata scored eight goals in 23 La Liga appearances for Carlo Ancelotti's side last season, and replaced Karim Benzema for the final 11 minutes of normal time of the Champions League final as Real chased an equaliser, which Sergio Ramos scored in the final minute. Real then ran out 4-1 victors and became the first team to win 10 European Cups.

Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Morata.
