Alexis Sanchez has move to allay any fears at Arsenal that he would be keen on a return to Spain amid speculation over a switch to Real Madrid.

The Chile international has been in sensational form after coming through a slow start to the campaign. Six goals in his last three Arsenal games were added to with three for Chile during the international break, one in the 2-0 victory against Brazil and a double in a 4-3 win in Peru.

Understandably, the continuation of the fantastic performances following his move from Barcelona have led to speculation he could return to Spain, potentially with Real Madrid.

However Sanchez has dismissed such talk.

"I have no idea what the media are saying, but I feel comfortable at Arsenal," he said whilst away on international duty.

"I'm happy with my team-mates and the city of London is beautiful. I'm not going to change, I'm very happy."

Recent reports suggest Arsenal are ready to make Sanchez their highest earner in order to tie him to a new deal.

The Gunners, who are two points behind league leaders Manchester City in the Premier League table, resume their season following the international break with an away game against Watford. Arsene Wenger, who revealed yesterday that Sanchez should be fit and available for the match, will be hoping the Chilean can continue his impressive goalscoring run. Sanchez is clearly aiming to do so.

“I always want to be the best at everything I do," Sanchez said. "I'm never happy with what I do, I always want to give more. My mum is always my coach. She phones me and tells me to shoot at goal more often.”
