Your support makes all the difference.Manchester City were last night close to sealing a £38m deal for Sergio Aguero with the Atletico Madrid striker now expected to fly straight from Buenos Aires to Manchester to sign in the next few days.
The 23-year-old has stayed in Argentina since his team’s elimination from the Copa America tournament ten days ago. The City chairman Khaldoon Al-Muabarak was thought to be in Madrid yesterday to complete negotiations for Aguero, seen as the long-term replacement for Carlos Tevez.
City are in Ireland over the weekend to play friendlies against an Irish XI on Saturday and Internazionale the following day. They hope to have Aguero in place by then. Tevez is not expected to be back in training until the end of next week.
