Scotland begin their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign against Cyprus this afternoon fresh off the news that manager Steve Clarke has extended his contract at Hampden.

Clarke has signed an extension until after the 2026 World Cup campaign ahead of the opening Euro 2024 qualifying double-header against Cyprus and Spain this week.

Scotland are assured of a play-off for next year’s finals in Germany by virtue of their Nations League performance last year, with Clarke guiding Scotland to promotion to Group A.

Now Scotland will target qualification to a second major tournament under Clarke, but face tough competition with Erling Haaland’s Norway and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s Georgia also hunting for a spot.

Here’s everything you need to know.
