Premier League transfer round-up: Higuain signs for Chelsea

The January transfer deadline is fast approaching and clubs are rushing to push through late deals to boost them for the remainder of the season.

So far, Denis Suarez‘s loan to Arsenal, with an option to buy, from Barcelona, has been a notable signing, with Unai Emery receiving a versatile player to aid his quest for a top four finish.

Manchester United‘s Anthony Martial has ended any speculation over his future too, penning a new five-and-a-half year contract to remain at Old Trafford until 2024.

Wolves have moved to make Jonny Otto their player on a permanent basis, splashing out £15 million.

While Antonio Barreca arrives at Newcastle on loan from Monaco – but when will the window shut? Here are the times for some of the world’s major leagues.
