The Hammers are continuing their long goodbye to their East London home but can at least sleep easy with European ambitions replacing relegation fears. No such thing can be said of Sunderland who are staring a drop into the Championship in the face. With Sam Allardyce at the helm, however, they have a man with a proven track record of avoiding the drop.
Elsewhere today, Chelsea travel to the South Coast to face Southampton while Crystal Palace make the trip to West Bromwich Albion in the evening fixture. Baggies boss Tony Pulis meets his former employers with pressure building at the Hawthorns.
