West Ham have made eight changes to the side that ran out against Accrington Stanley in the third of the EFL Cup last Wednesday.

Dimitri Payet, Michail Antonio and Mark Noble all return to Slaven Bilic’s starting side as the likes of Edimilson Fernandes, Pedro Obiang and Sofiane Feghouli drop to the bench.

Bilic’s men are looking to get their season back on track, having taken only three points from their opening five Premier League fixtures.

They line up against Southampton who remain unbeaten in three across all competitions.

As for the visitors, Claude Puel has made nine changes to his team following their 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup.

Charlie Austin has kept his place, after scoring from the spot in his side’s midweek win, while Nathan Redmond and Dusan Tadic both return.

Youngster James Ward-Prowse drops to the bench but Harrison Reed has been left of Puel’s match day squad.

Although Southampton are currently unbeaten from three, they only sit two points ahead of West Ham in the league.

A win today would take them to either 10th or ninth in the league.
