West Bromwich Albion will hope that their match against Manchester United will be a lot more successful than their pre-match team sheet was after no fewer than four players had their names spelt incorrectly.

The Baggies, who held Premier League leaders Leicester to a 2-2 draw in midweek, were able to boast an unchanged line-up for the visit of United to the Hawthorns.

But whether the team sheet was actually compiled by manager Tony Pulis remains a mystery as the author managed to spell at least four of their players’ names wrong.

Starting striker Salomon Rondon had his first name spelt incorrectly with “Soloman” written down in error, while four substitutes in James McClean, Victor Anichebe, Rickie Lambert and Sebastien Pocognoli were all spelt wrong.

Instead, the substitutes’ bench was made up of “James McLean”, “Victor Anicibe”, “Ricky Lambert” and “Sebastein Pocognoli”.

Whether it was a late night in Birmingham or a rush to have the team sheet completed in time for the 15:00 deadline, there will certainly be questions asked of whoever was responsible – especially if it was in fact the manager.
