Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

It’s a big game for…

JAMIE VARDY: Another goal this weekend and Vardy will become only the third player in Premier League history to score in eight consecutive games. The England international will draw level with Daniel Sturridge, and just two shy of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record.

Best stat…

57: The percentage of matches in which West Brom have kept a clean sheet since Tony Pulis’s appointment in January.

Remember when…

Leicester City scored two goals in the last ten minutes to beat West Brom 3-2 at The Hawthorns in April last year. It was the beginning of a remarkable run of results that saw Leicester take 22 points from a possible 27, whilst Vardy’s 90th minute winner marked the beginning of a goalscoring run that is yet to end.

Player to watch…

RIYAD MAHREZ: The 24-year-old Algerian has scored or assisted in eight of his ten matches in all competitions this season, and leads the charts for most successful take-ons (four per match). His creativity will be vital against such well organised opposition.

Past three-meetings…

West Brom 2 (Fletcher, Gardner), Leicester City 3 (Nugent, Huth, Vardy), Premier League, April 2015

Leicester City 0, West Brom 1 (Cambiasso), Premier League, November 2014

Leicester City 1 (Shorey og), West Brom 4 (Cox 2, Tchoyi, Reid), Premier League, October 2010
