Vincent Kompany has revealed a behind the scenes look at his rehabilitation during his four months of injury hell this season.
The Manchester City captain returned to the first team for the defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, having only played nine minutes since the start of November. Kompany first tried to return on Boxing Day but had to come back off after less than 10 minutes after reinjuring himself.
The Belgian, arguably the most influential player in City's recent dominance, took to Facebook to thank fans for supporting him through a long, dark winter.

"Back in December I let you guys know through Facebook that I was a little bit affected by the setback I had at the time, but never in a million years did I expect and predict the amount of support that I would get from you guys and it really touched me," he said.
Kompany, who has managed to appear in only 10 of City's 26 Premier League matches this season, will release three videos this week documenting his recovery. It has already been watched more than two million times.
The Belgian and City face a big spell in their season in the next couple of weeks. Manuel Pellegrini's team face Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday - a game they wanted moved - before travelling to Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League and then facing Liverpool in the League Cup final on 28 February.
