From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Ahead of the Premier League meeting between Tottenham and Liverpool this weekend, we caught up with a couple of fans for their take on the match...

Tottenham fan - Chris Deeley

Spurs and Liverpool have found themselves almost inextricably intertwined in the last few seasons, whether they are fighting over European qualifying spots or which of them can waste the most money in the transfer market, and Saturday's game will just be the latest chapter of that battle.

Eric Dier will be a massive loss after his great start to the season, so far proving himself to be the best of the small horde of young midfielders currently at the Lane. Instead, Ryan Mason or Moussa Dembele are going to have to slot back in from injury to nullify the Liverpool midfield. Fortunately, they're good enough to pull it off.

Finally, apparently Liverpool have a new manager - something which usually gives a team a bit of a boost. Some German guy, I've heard. 'Klopp', or something. Haven't heard much about him in the press. Er, should we be worried?

Score prediction: Spurs 2-1 Liverpool

Spurs vs Liverpool preview

Liverpool fan - Yemi Abiade

The appointment of Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool's new manager makes it a great time to be a Reds fan, one that will hopefully bring forth a wind of change both on and off the pitch.

While an immense moment for the club (and I won't lie, I already love the guy!), I won't be too caught up in the excitement surrounding Klopp's arrival; at least not until performances on the pitch significantly improve.

We are highly inconsistent, with only one win from the last six league games, and Saturday's trip to Tottenham will be a tough introduction for the German. Containing Christian Eriksen will be key to our chances, as it would cut out the primary supply line to Harry Kane up top. Philippe Coutinho is also in contention for a return after injury and this will be a massive boost. I'm going for a 1-0 win for Jurgen Klopp's Red Army!

Score prediction: Spurs 0-1 Liverpool
