From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Tottenham - Oli Gamp

We face arguably our biggest game of the season against struggling Chelsea: a team whose difficulties have gifted us a real opportunity to get back into the top four. Coming off the back of that superb 4-1 win against West Ham last weekend, the team will be confident of their chances.

However, Chelsea will be doing everything in their power to end our unbeaten run since August. Dele Alli is suspended, which is a massive loss as the 19-year-old has been incredible this season, but Ryan Mason will likely slot in alongside Eric Dier, who I’m hoping puts in another fantastic shift as he continues in his new holding role.

Harry Kane could’ve had a hat-trick against West Ham, while Heung-Min Son put in one of his best performances of the season. Let’s hope they’re both in similar form against Chelsea. I think this game is too important to lose for both sides, which means it could be even honours at 1-1.

Chelsea - Harry Edwards

It was a 5-3 loss against Tottenham Hotspur last year that moved Jose Mourinho to park the bus for the remainder of the season. This year, a positive result against Spurs could kick start our season, if we do win it will be a third consecutive win for only the second time this season.

Despite sitting 15th in the league, we have been slowly improving over the last few weeks. Eden Hazard has been showing glimpses of the form that won him Player of the Year - despite not impressing against Maccabi Tel Aviv - and the defence have kept back-to-back clean sheets for just the third time this season.

John Terry is a doubt for the crunch game after picking up an injury against Tel Aviv and if he does miss the game he will be a big loss. After a slow start to the season Harry Kane has found his scoring boots again and we will need to pay close attention to him to avoid a repeat of the 5-3 game last season. It will be a close game as it always is against Spurs at White Hart Lane but I’m going for a 2-2 draw.
