Haringey Council’s planning committee convene this evening when a decision is expected to be made.
Should the plans be given the green light, next season would be the last at their home in its current guise before redevelopment costed at £400m begins.
The new plans would allow for an NFL team to be permanently based at the stadium with changing rooms, facilitates and a retractable pitch equipped to handle the regular playing of American Football.
Tottenham plan to be away from their home for just one season whilst building work is undertaken, with the preference to play at Wembley. However, London rivals Chelsea are also keen to play at the national stadium whilst their own home is upgraded. An alternative, and most likely option, is to play in Milton Keynes.
