Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli should return to the starting line-up despite coming off at half-time in the midweek 3-0 win at Norwich City.

The teenage midfielder, who scored his seventh Premier League goal of the season in the win, was withdrawn because of illness and dizziness.

Having undergone tests this week no problem was found and he should start against Watford.

Fellow midfielder Ryan Mason who last played at the end of November, will face a late fitness test to see if he can return.

The 24-year-old has had an ankle problem and his return is rated at 50/50.

Jan Vertonghen, who has a suspected medial knee ligament injury, is definitely out and it's not known when he will return.

Clinton N'Jie has a similar injury and is expected to be out for about another month.
