Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held positive talks with MK Dons over a proposed groundshare for the 2017-18 season and could also play up to three matches at Wembley.
Spurs are looking for a temporary home for that season while their new 56,000-seat stadium is built. Although Milton Keynes is 48 miles away from White Hart Lane, the town has a excellent transport links to London.
According to the Daily Mail, talks between the two clubs were positive.
Daniel Levy had been looking for a groundshare closer to home but West Ham made it clear they would not negotiate over use of the Olympic Stadium, while supporters are thought to be against a temporary move to Arsenal.
The Wembley proposition largely depends on Brent Council's limit of 37 events per-year at the national stadium - with England fixtures, concerts, NFL matches and more, that quota is already at its limit and could see the England team tour the country for a season.
The Premier League would need to approve the move, but there are no rules preventing the Tottenham from moving to Buckinghamshire.
Opened in 2007, stadium:mk holds 30,500, just 6,000 less than White Hart Lane, and boasts top of the range facilities.
The stadium will hold three matches at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and would have hosted games had England's 2018 World Cup bid been successful.
