It’s a big game for…

NATHAN REDMOND: The Canaries winger is out to prove that he can make an impact in the Premier League, having divided opinion regarding his ability in the past. Having come on from the bench against Crystal Palace at the weekend, the 21-year-old scored and offered his side something different going forward. The Sunderland fixture is a chance for Redmond to prove his worth ahead of a campaign reliant on goals to survive.

Weird fact...

FRIENDSHIP TROPHY: As a result of the good faith shared between the two club’s supporters during the 1985 League Cup final, the Friendship Trophy is contested every time they meet.

Remember when…

Norwich City midfielder Alex Tettey netted this incredible volley against the Black Cats at the end of the 2013-2014 Premier League season.

Player to watch…

YANN M’VILA: Sent off midweek for a headbutt during his run out with the Under21s, new signing M’Vila could avoid a follow-up suspension from the FA - allowing the Frenchman to feature against the Canaries. The on-loan Rubin Kazan midfielder’s ill discipline and ability to control the tempo of a game could ignite a fiery encounter.
