Arsene Wenger has made three changes to the team that pulled off a late win against Anderlecht in midweek.
Wojciech Szczesny returns in the place of Emiliano Martinez in goal, while there are two changes in midfield with Mikel Arteta replacing Aaron Ramsey, who has only just returned from injury while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaces the suspended Jack Wilshere.
Match-winner Lukas Podolski remains on the bench, while Theo Walcott makes his long-awaited return from injury.
Sunderland, who were thrashed 8-0 at Southampton last week, surprisingly make just two changes.
Gus Poyrt has opted to replace Jordi Gomez with Jack Rodwell, while Adam Johnson comes in for Connor Wickham.
New signing Anthony Reveillere takes a place on the bench.
