Both teams are in an impressive vein of form with each losing just one of their last six matches.

Palace have been potent on their tracvels this season, picking up 13 points from their seven matches, losing just twice. Stoke currently sit three points behind the Eagles, but will only leapfrog them if they win by six goals.

• Xherdan Shaqiri has passed a late fitness test on his hamstring and starts for Mark Hughes' team

• Phil Bardsley, who was a doubt for the game, is only fit enough for the bench, while Stephen Ireland doesn't even make it that far

• Geoff Cameron, Marc Muniesa, Shay Given, Peter Odemwingie and Peter Crouch are all out

• Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak is still out because of an ankle injury

• Joe Ledley is fit again and starts for Alan Pardew's side
