Gary Neville was surprisingly named Valencia manager on Wednesday afternoon.

The 40-year-old former Manchester United right-back is just the latest in a long, long line of players who have finished their careers and moved into the dugouts.

Arguably the greatest British manager ever, Ferguson has also changed every level of football with the players he has produced.

With Neville now in charge of the Spanish club he, incredibly, becomes the 29th player who played under Ferguson at United to move into management - to varying levels of success.
