Sergio Aguero will make an incredible gesture to Manchester City fans who he left out of pocket after changing his shirt from No 16 to No 10.

The 27-year-old striker revealed on Friday night that he will change his number for the new season after the previous wearer, Edin Dzeko, moved to Roma.

The switch means the Argentinian has left some fans out of pocket if they bought the new Nike shirt with 'Kun Aguero 16' on the back.

But the star will make amends to the City faithful in one of two heart-warming ways - supporters can either send in their shirts (it only applies to the 15-16 kit) and have them signed by Aguero or they can opt to swap it for a new one with the new No 10 on the back.

Full terms and conditions can be found at the Manchester City website.

Aguero wore the No 10 in his early career at Independiente and Atletico Madrid, but the shirt was taken by Dzeko when he arrived at the Etihad.

"The No 10 shirt means a lot to me," revealed the striker. "When I arrived at City, Edin had it - he wore it very well, and of course, I respected it.

"That's why I picked the No 16. I must admit, I have warmed to it over the past few years and shared many special moments in it but the No 10 shirt is very special for me.

"I always felt a connection to it, and even more so now."
