Radamel Falcao says he is under "no pressure" to score for Chelsea this season, which is just as well, considering he netted only four goals in total during his spell at Manchester United last term.

The Colombian has joined up at Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan from Monaco.

"I feel very well, free and with a lot of confidence. I don't feel pressure to score," he told The Sun.

"Strikers always want to score goals, clearly, I'm calm. The goals will come and we have great strikers in this team.

"Diego Costa and Loic Remy are excellent finishers. We hope to have healthy competition and, after that, the coach will decide.

"The more games we play the more the team will grow and we will be ready for the fight this season."

Falcao could start the season for Chelsea, with first-choice striker Costa a major doubt because of his recurring hamstring injury.

After Chelsea's 1-0 Community Shield defeat by Arsenal on Sunday, Blues manager Jose Mourinho confirmed Falcao would start in Chelsea's final pre-season game of the season against Fiorentina tomorrow night.
