Raheem Sterling starts for Liverpool against QPR at Loftus Road this afternoon.

The 19-year-old returns after last Sunday's controversy, when he allegedly told England manager Roy Hodgson he was "too tired" to start against Estonia.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers made four changes to the line-up that saw off West Brom 2-1 at Anfield two weeks ago, with Mario Balotelli back in for Rickie Lambert up front.

Alex McCarthy was set to make his Premier League debut as Harry Redknapp made five changes for Rangers, while Robert Green was sidelined with tonsillitis.

QPR: McCarthy, Onuoha, Caulker, Dunne, Yun, Sandro, Isla,Henry, Fer, Austin, Zamora. Subs: Traore, Ferdinand, Phillips,Kranjcar, Murphy, Hoilett, Vargas.
