There were contrasting results for both teams in midweek, this weekend’s host narrowly lost to Sheffield United in a penalty shootout, 7-6 in The League Cup after a one all draw.

While on the other hand, Southampton were 2-0 victors away to Millwall in the domestic cup with goals from Jack Cork and Italian Striker, Graziano Pelle.

West Ham could be without up to six first-team players after Diafra Sakho suffered a back injury in the midweek defeat. He is set to join Matt Jarvis, Carl Jenkinson and James Collins on the sidelines alongside Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan.
