From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Queens Park Rangers travel to West Brom on Saturday in what has become desperate times for Chris Ramsey's side.

The R’s have lost nine of their last ten Premier League games, and as a result find themselves in 19th and four points adrift of safety. No less than three points will do for the west Londoners, who are in the thick of a battle to avoid relegation for the second time in three years.

And to add insult to injury, they face a West Brom side who have won four of their last five home games. The appointment of Tony Pulis on 1 January has clearly taken effect, with the former-Stoke manager losing just three of his first ten Premier League games for the Baggies.

QPR, though, have emerged victorious in their two previous fixtures with West Brom, having come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Loftus Road last December, courtesy of a Charlie Austin hat-trick.

KICK-OFF: Saturday, 3pm

PREVIOUS THREE MEETINGS:

QPR 3 (Austin (3)) West Brom 2 (Lescott, Varella), December 2014

West Brom 0 QPR 1 (Bothroyd), January 2013

QPR 1 (Dyer) West Brom 1 (Long), January 2013

STATS:

Charlie Austin has scored 15 goals this season, contributing to almost half of QPR’s tally this season (31).

West Brom have conceded six goals at home this season within the first 15 minutes – more than any other 15-minute slot.

QPR have lost all but one of their 14 away games this season, scoring 10 and conceding 32.

Saido Berahino has scored more Premier League goals (12) than the rest of West Brom’s attack and midfield combined (10).

ODDS:

West Brom to win: 4/5

QPR to win: 11/4

Draw: 9/2

TV: Highlights on BBC 1 at 10.30pm
