From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Hull will take on West Brom this Saturday as they will try to keep themselves out of the relegation zone. Steve Bruce's side picked up their first point since 25 October when they drew 1-1 against Everton last Wednesday.
The point saw Hull leaving the relegation zone for at least until Saturday but a loss for either team could see one of them fall back into the bottom three.
After the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last Saturday, Hull were trying to avoid a fifth consecutive loss in midweek and it was substitute Sone Aluko who scored the equaliser in the 59th minute for his team.
Hull have collected 12 points in 14 games and are desperate to secure their first win since early October.
West Brom ended their 323-minute drought last Monday against West Ham when they lost 2-1. The Baggies had not been able to find the net since 1 November and lost a fourth consecutive game. Eyes will be on West Brom’s top-scorer Saido Berahino who had a flying start of the season by scoring seven times.
The two sides met earlier in the season when West Brom knocked Hull out of the Capital One Cup by winning 3-2.
West Brom have the best odds but Hull might have the momentum on Saturday. A win for both is much needed.
