From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

George Boyd returns to face the club he left in the summer when Hull travel to Turf Moor on Saturday. Boyd made 30 appearances for the Tigers last season and helped them reach the FA Cup final.

Last season’s FA Cup runners-up will be hoping to pull away from the relegation zone, as they sit just two points above it. Burnley, however, will be looking to close the gap – after 10 games they are five points from safety.

Burnley are yet to pick up a win in their return to the Premier League but will see the visit of out-of-form Hull City as a great opportunity to pick up three points. Hull have collected two wins in the league so far this season, coming against QPR on opening day and Crystal Palace at the start of October.
