Things seemed to get a bit heated in the Sky Sports studio today, in the build-up to Liverpool vs Manchester United.

Peter Schmeichel (ex-United) appeared to tell Graeme Souness (ex-Liverpool) to shut up at one stage, as he was making a point about Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Former midfield general and overall hard man Souness interrupted Schmeichel while he was talking about Mignolet, only for the former Danish goalkeeper to respond with "I'm talking here!" (watch below)

Earlier on in the fiery broadcast, Souness had hit Schmeichel with a stat...

It is not the first time the Sky Sports pundits have battled for air time this season, remember when it was Souness that stopped Thierry Henry mid-sentence with "Listen I'm talking!"

Unsuprisingly, Twitter was quick to react to the pair:

United would run out 1-0 winners at Anfield in the end, Wayne Rooney's 78th-minute strike enough to secure the win for the away side.
