Gary Neville has called Paul Pogba “embarrassing” after the Manchester United midfielder handled the ball to gift West Ham a penalty.

The French midfielder blocked Declan Rice's shot with his hands raised above his head.

And following a lengthy VAR review, a penalty was awarded to the Hammers, with Michail Antonio calmly converting to break the deadlock.

“It’s embarrassing,” Neville said during commentary on Sky Sports. “You don’t do that, you take it in the grid.”

“Forget the fact it’s an appalling lack of discipline from Paul Pogba, West Ham have been the better team for the last 15 minutes.

“I could say less if it was instinctive, but that ball was 15 metres away.”
