Newcastle vs Manchester United: Pavel Srnicek t-shirts worn by players in tribute to the late goalkeeper
The Czech, who made 152 appearances for the club, passed away following a cardiac arrest last month

Newcastle United players paid their respects to the late Pavel Srnicek before tonight’s Premier League meeting with Manchester United.
Srnicek, who played for the club between 1991 and 1998 before returning for a short spell in the 2006/07 season, suffered a cardiac arrest last month while out running near his home.
The Czech goalkeeper, who also played for Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and West Ham United during a 17-year-long professional career, died nine days later in hospital, at the age of 47.
His funeral was held in his hometown of Ostrava last Monday, with former team-mates Pavel Nedved, Steve Howey and Steve Harper in attendance among hundreds of mourners.
Srnicek made 150 appearances for the club over the course of his first spell, which coincided with Newcastle’s promotion to the Premier League in 1992/93 under Kevin Keegan, as well as their title challenge three seasons later.
The former ‘keeper’s brother Milan will be attendance at St James’ Park tonight, while the match programme’s front cover pays tribute to Srnicek.
