Newcastle Fan - Russell Hughes
Newcastle United have been absolutely awful for the last few weeks. Losing at home to a recently promoted team really isn’t an option - but sadly it seems to have become the norm.
We have become a bit of a bogey side for Chelsea, especially at St. James' Park, but I can’t see anything other than an away win on the cards. Massadio Haïdara will be a big miss if he is ruled out with injury - not because he is great, but just because he is the only left-back we have! I can see Pedro or Willian running riot down their right-hand side and I’m not looking forward to it.
I’d like to see Steve McLaren start Siem De Jong, Rolando Aarons and Georginio Wijnaldum, with Moussa Sissoko playing in the middle with Wijnaldum. Thauvin could move to the right, which would provide an additional goal threat, with Ayoze Perez up front. I’m not optimistic, though and predict Newcastle 1 -3 Chelsea.
Chelsea Fan - Kavan Flavius
Chelsea head to St. James’ Park on Saturday to face a struggling Newcastle side. Mourinho has never won on this ground in the Premier League before, but will hope that his side can continue their decent run of form, having won three games on the trot.
Oscar getting back in the team seems to have given them a huge boost, but being without the suspended Diego Costa could complicate things. However, this could also prove a blessing in disguise, as the Blues will certainly be inspired by a sense of injustice.
The team are just beginning to play up to standard and confidence is growing. Eden Hazard seemed back to his old self last weekend against Arsenal and got on the score sheet for the first time this season.
If the team can defend properly on Saturday, they should have no problems dispatching a relegation-bound Newcastle. I think we'll see it finish 3-1 to Chelsea.
