The club announced Papa John's, who have six stores in the North-East, as their 'official pizza partner' on Thursday with this cheesy incentive - every time the Magpies score twice in a Premier League match, fans get 50% off their pizzas.
"The fans play a big part in our performances at home and on the road and it's great that Papa John's have shown their appreciation for the support they give our players," Dale Aitchison, head of partnerships at Newcastle United, said.
But, looking at recent form, it is quite the shrewd marketing strategy by Papa John's - Newcastle have only scored more than once in one of their last six Premier League matches, and have also failed to notch in their last three league matches at St James' Park.
Since the turn of the year, Newcastle have only scored three league goals in total, only Hull City (1) have scored fewer in 2014 - so there might be a bit of a wait for that cheap pizza after all.
