Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Newcastle at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s men were beaten in their visit to Chelsea two weekends ago and now sit eight points behind rivals City. United cannot afford to drop any points this weekend if they’re to stand any chance of catching the league leaders.

As for the visitors, Newcastle currently sit in 11th with 14 points to their name. The side lost their last two league games so are in need of a positive result against United.

What time does it start?

The game kicks off at 5.30pm at Old Trafford on Saturday 18 November.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be broadcast on Bt Sport 1. Coverage starts at 5pm.

It’s a big game for…

Jose Mourinho. Despite sitting second in the league, with a place in the Champions League knock-out stages all-but guaranteed, there’s a sense that not all is as it seems at Old Trafford. The cracks have started to appear, as showcased by Mourinho’s course reaction to the defeat at Huddersfield and his surprising praise of PSG. United need a win against Newcastle, otherwise expect the tension to keep on building in the red side of Manchester.

Remember when…

United thumped Newcastle 4-0 at St James’ Park in April 2014? Juan Mata scored two while Javier Hernandez and Adnan Januzaj completed the scoring.

Player to watch…

Romelu Lukaku. Is he the real deal? Is he stealing a living? Is he a work in progress? The jury remains out on the Belgian, who insists he needs more time to prove his worth. After a two-week break, he’ll certainly be eager to make this point – but whether or not he can do so remains to be seen.
