Keita became the fourth Liverpool player to either suffer injury or withdraw from international duty during the current break, following problems for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Virgil van Dijk.
The 23-year-old, who suffered a back injury in his last Liverpool start earlier this month, is now a doubt for Saturday's trip to Huddersfield Town and the Champions League visit of Red Star Belgrade next week.
