This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

Ozil excels in the big game

“He doesn’t turn up for the big games.” That is a criticism often levelled at Mesut Ozil, but the same cannot be said for his performance against Manchester United in Arsenal’s 3-0 win on Sunday. Scoring and assisting, the £42.5m German was the catalyst for all of the Gunners’ best work.

Rooney’s place will soon come under threat

While Ozil excelled in the match at the Emirates Stadium, Wayne Rooney did not. The United captain received much criticism from United supporters on social media following the defeat. After a poor start to the season, his place in the United starting XI could soon become under threat.

Harry Kane is an own goal master

After his sliced effort for Swansea in the 2-2 draw on Sunday, Tottenham striker Harry Kane has now scored three Premier League own goals since August 2013 – only Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel (4) has scored more in that period.

Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea truly are in crisis

Chelsea’s worst start to a season in 37 years is showing no signs of improving. And there was even a new damning statistic for Jose Mourinho to digest this weekend after the 3-1 defeat by Southampton - the Saints became the first team to score three or more goals at Stamford Bridge against a Jose Mourinho team in the Premier League.

Sergio Aguero will be the top scorer again

Five clinical goals in 19 minutes against Newcastle was the best way possible for Sergio Aguero to end his run of five Premier League games without a goal. Who would bet against him becoming the Premier League’s top scorer this season just like last term?
