Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has said he would welcome Jadon Sancho at Manchester United, hailing the Borussia Dortmund winger’s “world class” qualities.

Sancho, 20, has excelled in Germany this season, netting 17 goals and recording 19 assists in 35 appearances before the league’s suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And he has been linked with a potential move to the Premier League and Manchester United for some time.

“It would be good [if Sancho joined],” Rashford said on Instagram Live. “Sancho’s a great player and he’s like a new generation player.

“It’s definitely exciting to watch him become the player he’s becoming. Hopefully we can all play together, that would be good.

“He plays off the cuff, he’s creative and imaginative – these are the things you need to be world class.”

Rashford, 22, and Sancho have played together in the England set-up.

Sancho was previously an academy member at United’s rivals Manchester City before moving to the Bundesliga in 2017.
