More than 30,000 fans tune into Manchester United’s accidental Instagram live
No interviews or training video on this occasion for supporters
Manchester United fans were left confused and mildly entertained on Wednesday when an employee apparently pocket-started a live video feed on the club’s Instagram page.
Usually, thousands of supporters would immediately flock to the channel to get some unexpected bonus footage; an interview with a player, perhaps, or a training drill being undertaken.
On this occasion it was rather more mundane and yet, for plenty, apparently equally enjoyable - as over 37,000 tuned in to listen to an account administrator apparently making lunch.

Training pitch visuals and the shouts of players were replaced by a blurry, often entirely dark screen, the hum of a microwave and a clatter of cutlery.
That didn’t stop the tens of thousands from staying hooked, though the video was later removed from the club’s account.
A 30-second recording of the live session was posted on Twitter, with most supporters commenting during the broadcast seeming to take the “goof” in a light-hearted way.
