The Spanish goalkeeper sustained the problem while warming up ahead of last week’s Europa League round-of-32 first leg tie against Midtyjlland.
Marcus Rashford, who scored twice during the 5-1 second leg win over Midtjylland, starts up front, with Anthony Martial sidelined.
Danny Welbeck, who scored Arsenal's late winner against Leicester City in their last Premier League fixture, starts up front against his former club.
Olivier Giroud is named on the bench and Theo Walcott comes in for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who will be out until April after picking up an injury in the midweek clash with Barcelona.
