A group of Manchester United players decided to get over their defeat by Arsenal on Monday with a visit to Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday afternoon.

Daley Blind, Ashley Young, Michael Carrick, Rafael, Jonny Evans and Phil Jones were all spotted at the track in an executive box, joined by friends.

And while the side struggled to a defeat by the Gunners at Old Trafford, they appeared jovial as they watched the action unfold.

Brazilian right-back Rafael, who hasn't started a Premier League game since October, had more luck today and was pictured jumping up and down - his horse certainly came in.

Former footballer Paul Merson and Match of the Day commentator John Motson were in attendance, too.

Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton was also at the racecourse, posting a picture to Twitter alongside striker Charlie Austin.
