Paul Pogba may finally be finding his form at Manchester United following his £89m world record transfer this summer, but it appears life may not be all that rosy for the most expensive player in the world.

His former Juventus teammate, Paulo Dybala, has spoken publicly to admit that while the Italian club misses the France midfielder on and off the pitch, he is also missing life in Italy after returning to Manchester following four years in Turin.

Pogba’s second stint in the Premier League got off to a slow start, but his performances in recent weeks have picked up noticeably along with United’s, and they were unlucky to draw games against Arsenal, West Ham and Everton before reeling off three consecutive wins this month.

The 23-year-old has slotted in seamlessly at a club he knows very well, and immediately rekindled his friendship with the likes of Jesse Lingard with the two forming a close bond during their early years at Old Trafford.

But it seem that’s Pogba is still missing some aspects of life in Italy, with Argentina international Dybala discussing the absence of Pogba in Turin this season.

“I’m still talking to Pogba, we are missing him for his quality on the pitch and his jokes in the dressing room. However, he misses us as well,” Dybala told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The striker, who scored 19 goals in Serie A last season, has only found the back of the net three times this term, though that has not stopped Juventus once again rising to the top of the table with a four-point lead over Juventus.

Dybala used their dominance in Italy to poke fun at United this season, with Jose Mourinho’s side currently sixth in the Premier League table, and an alarming 13 points behind Chelsea to leave their title hopes on the verge of being over before the turn of the year.

“Just look at our position in the table and the one of Manchester United,” Dybala added, hinting that United’s form may have something to do with Pogba’s apparent longing to be back in Turin.

United travel to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening where a victory could see them pull level with fifth-placed Tottenham – who they beat last weekend – and put them within three points of the top four.
