A Manchester United supporter from India attending his first ever game at Old Trafford was offered much sympathy on Twitter after their game with Bournemouth was called off.

The supporter tweeted a picture of himself smiling outside the Theatre of Dreams wearing a Manchester United shirt and holding a Manchester United scarf above his head.

The message "My first game at OT lads" accompanied the image.

However he was not able to watch his team in action because the game was abandoned following the discovery of a suspect package at the stadium. After fans were initially evacuated it was announced that the game would not be played.

There has been no announcement on when the game will now be played but the United supporter attending his first match received much attention on Twitter with his post retweeted thousands of times. Others offered him their sympathy...

Sources close to the Premier League insist the game will definitely be rearranged.
