A stunning goal from Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany against Leicester saw the reigning Premier League champions move ever closer to defending their title.

City started the match two points behind title rivals Liverpool and were frustrated in a nervous first-half.

Leicester looked dangerous on the counter-attack and defended well until Kompany strode forward from defence to break the deadlock in sublime fashion.

With Leicester’s defenders backing off him, Kompany hit a long-range strike towards Kasper Schmeichel’s goal, with the ball flying past the Dane and into the top corner of the goal.

City now have a one point lead over Liverpool heading into the final weekend of the season. Here is how we rated the two teams.
