Manchester City made the title race a far closer contest thanks to a narrow victory over Everton.

Having seen Chelsea lose their first match of the season in the early kick-off, the reigning champions had to wait for their late kick-off to try and take advantage.

They did just that with a solitary goal thanks to a penalty from Yaya Toure.

Whilst Manchester City picked up a positive result and closed the gap to Premier League leaders Chelsea to just three points, it wasn't all good news.

Just minutes into the game Sergio Aguero had to be taken off injured, with the Premier League top scorer appearing to be in tears as he left the arena.

Aguero therefore got little chance to make an impression, but of his team-mates, who did? We also look at how the Everton players fared as their difficult season continues.
